The areas of Jackson, Macon, and Transylvania counties are abundant in views, amenities, and rich in history.  From the Cherokees in Cashiers to the antiques shops in Highlands; from the sparking waters of Lake Glenville and Lake Toxaway to the Gorges State Park in Sapphire; and from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Brevard and Hendersonville, this area is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.  Here, residents enjoy a varied assortment of outdoor activities such as horseback riding, fly fishing, gem mining with an abundance of hiking trails among the waterfalls. The area is renown for it's waterfalls, with over 50 nearby.  Not to be missed is Whitewater Falls, the highest waterfall east of the Rockies, dropping over 411 feet.  This is a must see!
